In the opinion draft, two work goals, short-term goals and long-term goals, were put forward. Short-term goal: By 2023, strive to reduce the overall myopia rate of children and adolescents in the province by more than 0.5% per year on the basis of 2018, and the high incidence of myopia will be reduced by more than 1% per year. Long-term goal: by 2030, achieve a significant decrease in the rate of new myopia in children and adolescents in the province, and a significant improvement in overall visual health. The rate of myopia in 6-year-old children will be controlled at about 3%, the rate of myopia in elementary school students will be reduced to less than 38%, and junior high school students will have myopia. The rate has dropped below 60%, and the myopia rate of high school students has dropped below 70%. The outstanding rate of national students’ physical fitness standards reached more than 28%. Children and adolescents are the future of the motherland and the hope of the nation. In recent years, due to the increased burden of primary and secondary school students in and out of class, the popularization of products with electronic screens such as mobile phones and computers (hereinafter referred to as electronic products), excessive use of eyes, unhygienic use of eyes, lack of physical exercise and outdoor activities and other factors have caused myopia in children and adolescents in my country. The rate remains high and rising, and the age and severity of myopia have become increasingly serious, which has become a major issue related to the future of the country and the nation. The prevention and control of myopia in children and adolescents is a systematic project that requires the joint efforts of the government, society, medical and health institutions, schools, families, and students. It requires the whole society to take action to take good care of children’s eyes.
