risk assessment for led lighting flicker

by:EME LIGHTING     2020-06-06
Background LED (
LEDs)
It is predicted that in the next 10 years, headquarters lighting will have a 60% share of the global lighting market.
It features excellent longevity and excellent energy efficiency.
In some LED lighting technologies, however, potential health problems are related to flickering.
Purpose/objective/purpose IEEE PAR1789 working group has conducted a risk assessment of potential hazards associated with flicker in LED lighting, mitigate the health risks of the audience as part of an effort to develop recommended practices that regulate the highlighted LED current.
Methods information on the potential health effects of flashing was collected through extensive literature review and expert consultation.
The risk assessment was carried out in accordance with the European security framework risk assessment model.
The potential adverse effects of results/results flicker include seizures, stroboscope effects, migraine, deterioration of repetitive behavior in autistic patients, and soft visual effects such as visual fatigue, fatigue, and decreased performance of visual tasks.
Some health effects have been well understood in terms of susceptible populations, prevalence and impact parameters, while other potential hazards have not been extensively studied.
Therefore, risk assessments include information certainty and the probability and severity of potential impacts.
The significance/contribution to the field gives confidence in safe use and provides guidance for the safety design of important lighting technologies in the environment. Background LED (
