It's a hard job to clean up the chandelier, but luckily you may only have to perform once a year.To reach and polish the bronze part of the chandelier, all the crystal parts need to be removed first.This is a great opportunity to clean up all parts of the light and restore its sparkling beauty.Before starting cleaning, turn off the lamp of the chandelier and place a soft liner on the working surface, such as the old quilt.If the chandelier is high or inaccessible, lower it so you can clean and polish it safely.Draw a chart on paper, or take a picture of the chandelier with a digital camera before removing the chandelier for cleaning.Many chandeliers are very complex and it will be easier to reassemble with a photo.Remove all the crystal pieces from the chandelier and carefully place them in a plastic container filled with hot water and gentle liquid.Put a few pieces in a plastic spoon at a time and rinse them clean with hot water.Put them on the soft lintDry free towels.Wipe the dust on the chandelier bulb with an ultra-slim cloth.Spray a commercial glass cleaner on an ultra-slim cloth and use it to clean any fixed Crystal part of the fixture.Do not spray glass cleaner directly on crystal.Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with a small amount of lemon juice into a soft paste to make a gentle homemade bronze polish.Apply to the bronze part of the chandelier with a polishing cloth.Rub the paste to bronze with a circular motion, then let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes.Wipe polish from bronze with clean, moist microfibre cloth.Polish the bronze dry with a clean and dry ultra-slim cloth.Reassemble the crystal part of the chandelier and use the picture as a guide if necessary.If you put the chandelier down and clean it, lift it up.
