[People's experience] lights illuminate our lives
As night falls, every household will light up the soft lights and sing the nights. From kerosene lamps and candles, to incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps, to today's dazzling array of modern lighting, the changes in the lights reflect the tremendous changes that people bring to life through reform and opening up.
I didn't catch up with the era of kerosene lamps. The deepest memory is the pear-shaped bulb that is common in childhood. It was in the early 1980s, my family still lived in a bungalow. Most of the lights are installed at the door, and a wire is pulled down at the end of the bulb for easy switching. The bulb is typically 10 watts or 15 watts and emits an orange-yellow light. The bulb is made of tungsten wire, which is easy to burn, has a short life span, and it takes a long time for the bulb to become dark. At that time, the candle was also a common item in the house, because there was often a power outage.
By the end of the 1980s and early 1990s, fluorescent tubes became commonplace. The light is darker than the light bulb. When the light is turned on, it emits white light. Not only does it look generous, but the lighting effect is also better. However, when the light is turned on, the light tube reacts slowly, and it often takes a few flashes to light up, and sometimes it makes a loud noise. When the tube is not lit, you have to move a stool and screw the vibrator on the tube. Later, in order to facilitate my evening homework, the family also bought me a desk lamp. The lampshade was made of paper, printed with beautiful patterns, and a soft light was emitted when the cord was pulled.
In the mid-1990s, my house built a new house, and the lamps in the new house were also colorful, no longer monotonous. In the living room, there is a crystal chandelier, and the layered crystal pendants surround the large and small light bulbs, which also plays a decorative role in lighting. The most important thing is that you don't need to pull the light cord anymore. Just press the switch mounted on the wall, and you can choose the number of light bulbs according to the change of light, which is convenient and practical. In the bedroom, in addition to the chandeliers, there are also a variety of bedside lamps, no longer afraid to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. Dad still has a few colored wall lights in the study, colorful, and it looks good.
At the moment, there are more and more kinds of light ornaments. In terms of style, there are classical, modern, European, and Chinese; in the category, there are chandeliers, wall lamps, and floor lamps; in terms of materials, there are crystal, imitation sheepskin, ceramics, glass, cloth, and so on. Nowadays people choose lamps, lighting is no longer the only standard, color, decoration and styling are the first consideration. Because of the stylish and individual lighting, it has become a means for people to show their unique aesthetic style. When I renovated my new home, I spent a lot of time on the choice of lighting. The living room is equipped with energy-saving lamps. The remote control can be used to control the switch and adjust the brightness. The restaurant uses a glass chandelier with a hollow, which has three colors to open; the bedroom uses a parchment light, the light is soft; the bathroom is selected. Waterproof and rotatable mirror headlights...
Whenever I turn on those lights and drive away the darkness of a room, there is always a lot of emotion in my heart. Lamps, from simple lighting to beautifying life, have witnessed the changes in life and social development over the past 30 years, and have also illuminated the way we have traveled.
