Installing Bathroom Lights Above a Vanity Mirror

The Bathroom light above the Vanity mirror makes it easier to dress up.Wide light strips with multiple bulbs can eliminate shadows and help you shave, make up, or use mirrors for other tasks.Delete an existing single-light wall-The installed fixture, replaced with a new light strip or other multi-light fixture, can be completed in about 30 minutes.This task does not require any equipment other than standard manual tools.Close the circuit breaker of the bathroom fixture on the circuit breaker panel.Screw the mounting screws with a screwdriver and remove the switch cover of the emergency light.Lean the non-contact electrical tester against the wire connected to the switch and observe the light on the tester.The circuit is still hot if the lights are on, so turn off more circuit breakers (or the main circuit breaker to the house) and test again until the tester lights remain off.Replace the switch cover.Remove the globe and bulb of existing lamps on the wall above the mirror.Loosen the mounting screws and pull the fixture away from the junction box.Disconnect the wiring with the fixture and put the fixture on one side.Place the mounting bracket of the new light strip in the position above the mirror, covering the junction box.Place the torpedo level on the top of the mounting bracket and adjust the position of the bracket until the level.Mark the hole position through the mounting hole to the wall with a pencil, and then place the mounting bracket on one side.Check the position of the wall post behind the wall with the stud finder.Drill a 1/4-Through the inches guide hole of any dry wall with mounting holes that do not align with the bolts.Tap the dry wall anchor in each pre-drilled hole with a hammer.Slide the wiring from the junction box into the wire hole on the back of the mounting bracket and place the bracket above the mirror.Align the mounting holes with each previously marked pencil marker or dry wall anchor.Fix the bracket on the wall with screws, and fix the bracket on the dry wall anchor or wall pillar with an electric drill.Connect the black line on the wall switch to all the black lines on the lamp strip with the wire nut.Connect all white wires with wire nuts.Then wrap the bare wire on the light switch around the green ground screw on the mounting bracket and tighten the screw with a screwdriver.Place the panel of the light rod on the mounting bracket, align the fixtures and mounting bolts with the appropriate holes on the panel.Tighten the two locking nuts to the tip of the mounting bolt to secure the panel in place.Insert the frosted bulb into each outlet, then open the circuit breaker on the circuit breaker panel and test the lamp with the electric light switch.
