diy concrete and wood led floor lamp

Hi Guys!
For this instructable, I would like to share with you an easy way to make awesome concrete lights!
Whether you want to be small or big, the idea can be extended to various sizes.
The lamp is 46 1/2-inches tall.
Paired with smart sockets, smart lights can now be controlled via voice or app.
I think it would be colder if I put LEDs on both sides.
All in all, this may be a very good work in your living space.
This is also a great gift.
I can do another one so I have a matching pair.
Okay, let\'s start making!
Since this is such a simple project, I want to build it with fewer tools.
Of course, you should use them if you have the right tools. Using an 8-
Foot Wood 1x3 inch, I marked it at the middle mark.
Next I cut at the mark but cut a Mitter at 45 degrees-
So you start with your right foot.
This is just an effective way to continue the next step.
Here, what will you end up getting after all your cuts.
Like the interior wood of the store, it has a little bit under the action of the LED channel.
You can keep it as it is.
The light is pushed back so it is not noticed.
Since I have a table saw on my hand, I want to trim it.
All the parts are ready and I will glue them together using wood glue.
It becomes very slippery when you clamp, so try your best to keep the balance of these three parts.
When you tighten the clip, take a damp rag, wipe off the glue and squeeze it out.
When I got to the Mitter end, I used the DIY clip attachment I made a while ago.
You can see the instructions I made here.
Leave enough time for the glue and polish it down.
If you watch the video, you will find that I did not succeed the first time I tried the juice carton.
If you try this I think making sure the bottom of the juice carton is sealed and the holes on the top are helpful for a ton.
I suggest adding the carton to the bottom of the form before adding the edge.
I assembled the form for the concrete base.
To get a smooth base you can use melamine.
Now, take the wooden lamp body.
Then drill into the bottom with a few screws-
About 1 inch from the finish line.
Next, center the lamp body as shown in the figure.
You will need to add additional support to the position where the lamp body is kept upright.
This is the best if you work on a flat surface.
In this way, you can use a level to make sure the lights are straight.
I used 2-for the cement mixture-to-1 ratio.
Add 2 cups of sand to a glass of cement and then add water.
Mix until you have a good pie constant.
Then, shovel the mixture into the form.
First place the cement around the box and then take a stick or anything that can be used to waste.
Work the cement down to the bottom with a stick.
When you add enough cement to the desired height.
Make sure the screws are at least 1 to 2 inch below the top of the concrete.
Exactly, a few days later, three days.
I then deleted the form.
I see some signs of concrete as it is still wet.
I sat it for two more days and then I started working on it.
I scraped off the dusty concrete on the wood and then sprinkled sand on it.
I didn\'t polish the sides because it was already quite smooth.
Next, I removed the bottom of the form.
Since the juice carton was full of cement, I ended up drilling a hole from top to bottom.
Next, I darken the wood with Danish oil.
For those who don\'t have a soldering iron, I found a quick and easy solution to make this project work.
The on-line power switch makes it easy to turn the lights on and off.
The light is connected to one end and the power adapter is connected to the other end.
This is a quick and easy solution if you don\'t want to pull out the soldering iron.
Here is a list of materials for this step.
First I pass the led light strip through the concrete base with a DC Jack left on the bottom.
Originally, I was going to put the connector on the back of the base.
I do think I prefer this setup and I can now locate the cable from any side.
Since I have some thick rubber bumpers on my hands, it\'s all possible.
I don\'t remember where I bought it, but I believe it was bought from my local box store.
I have put these in the bin for a while.
I installed the LED channel after connecting the bumper.
This is screwed in place with three screws, one at the top, middle and bottom.
The led I use has adhesive which makes it easy to peel and paste.
Finally, I attached the cover.
Since I have a big hole in the bottom, I need to deal with it.
I chose to leave a little LED at the bottom and fill the hole with hot glue.
I hope to get a good glow at the bottom.
As I mentioned in the video, there are two options for the control light. 1.
You can use the online power switch. 2.
You can give up the online power switch and use the Smart Socket to get some information about the Smart Socket: for those who don\'t know, the socket is connected to the smart device via home WIFI, and control through the application.
You can call whatever you want.
For example, I put the label \"light\" on the boss.
Now I can say [
Turn on the \"boss\'s light\"]
The socket will open.
It\'s easy. (
Most importantly, it will make you look cool-
At least at that moment :).
